On October 29th, Peking University’s Center for Market and Media Studies released a report on the life of diaosi, a popular Chinese Internet term that means unprivileged losers, the first of its kind in China. According to the report, the average monthly wage of a diaosi is 2917.7 yuan. 72.3 percent of diaosi feel they are living an unhappy life. What diaosi concern most is their family. They hand in 1070.7 yuan to their parents each month in average. In terms of industries, Diaosi Index is the highest in agriculture and forestry, but relatively low in marketing/public relations/media,health and fitness, finance/banking/investment/funds/securities。

10月29日，北京大學(xué)市場與媒介研究中心發(fā)布了全國首份《屌絲生存現(xiàn)狀報告》，報告顯示：屌絲平均薪酬2917.7元，72.3%的屌絲覺得自己活得不開心。最讓屌絲們放不下的還有親情，屌絲們平均每個月給父母1076.7元。從不同行業(yè)來看，農(nóng)林業(yè)屌絲指數(shù)最高，市場/公關(guān)/媒介、運動健身和金融/銀行/投資/基金/證券行業(yè)的屌絲指數(shù)相對偏低。

Who count as a diaosi? 屌絲的定義

Do you have a personal saving of RMB 100,000? Did you pay for your house on your own in full? Of course, the premise is you bought a house. If your answers are yes, you are definitely not a diaosi. The report defines diaosi as workers who have a personal saving of RMB100,000 or less, no home or ability to buy their own home without financial help. Of the over 210 thousand respondents, 62.2% believe they are diaosi. Those people, aged mainly between 21 and 30 years old, are the vast employees at the grassroots level. Their average monthly wage is RMB 2917.7, while the figure is 5793 in Beijing according to the official statistics。

The life of diaosi 屌絲生存狀況

The report shows that 73.6% of diaosi stay far away from their hometown, in hope of making more money to change the life of themselves and their family. They are living a frugal life, with the cost for three meals below 39 yuan. 7.8% of them even keep the cost under 10 yuan. Half of them spend less than 500 yuan on the monthly rent。

調(diào)查還顯示，屌絲人群中有73.6%的遠(yuǎn)離家鄉(xiāng)，離家的主要原因是希望可以賺到更多的錢，從而改變自己和家庭的生活。漂泊在異鄉(xiāng)，屌絲們的生活一切從簡，一日三餐花費39元以內(nèi)，有7.8%的人三餐消費能控制在10元以下，一半的人每月房租在500元以下。

Work and making money occupy most of their time. 21.7% of diaosi work overtime daily. Recreation is a little extravagant to them. 54.2% of diaosi spend only 500 yuan on travelling. They would stay at home rather than going out for fun. 65.7% of them do shopping mainly online. And software for social network and games are very popular among this group of people。

工作與賺錢占據(jù)著他們大部分的時間，幾乎每天加班的占到總體的21.7%。至于休閑，對于大部分屌絲來說有點奢侈，54.2%的人每年的旅游基金只有500元。比起外出游玩，屌絲更喜歡宅在家中，因此，65.7%的人選擇網(wǎng)絡(luò)購物為主流購物方式。社交類、游戲類軟件也成為宅在家中的神器。

CCTV has ever done a well-known street interview, asking people if they are happy or not. 52.7% of the male diaosi believe they are living an unhappy life, while female diaosi are more optimistic and 48.1% of them believe so. Those aged between 25 and 30 years old are the unhappiest group. Besides pressure from work, they are bearing on huge pressure from looking for a mate or supporting a big family. 37.8% of diaosi believe they suffer from psychological problems and haven’t received proper counseling. Most of them turn to sleeping, talking about their troubles, and drinking to relieve stress。

央視曾做過一個著名的街頭采訪，你幸福嗎?52.7%的男屌絲們認(rèn)為自己不開心，女屌絲好一些，但也有48.1%的人并不開心。尤其是25-30歲間的屌絲，是整個屌絲人群最不開心的一群人，除了來自工作的壓力，他們要不在單身中掙扎，要不就在承受著上有老下有小的生活壓力。37.8%的屌絲認(rèn)為自己有心理疾病，同時沒有得到正確的心理開導(dǎo)。大部分人采用睡覺、傾訴、喝酒的方式解壓。

They also calculated Diaosi Index in terms of city, province, region, industry etc. Changchun is the city whose Diaosi Index is the highest and Jilin is the province whose Diaosi Index is the highest, followed by Shanxi and Inner Mongolia. In terms of industry, Pleb Index is the highest in agriculture and forestry, followed by supermarket/department store/retail. Pharmaceutical/ bio-engineering ranks the third。

通過計算，報告得出了不同城市、省份、地域、行業(yè)等的屌絲指數(shù)。長春是本年度最屌絲的城市，吉林成為最屌絲的省份，隨后是山西和內(nèi)蒙。行業(yè)方面，農(nóng)林行業(yè)成為最屌絲的行業(yè)，指數(shù)最高，達(dá)到85.6，其次是超市/百貨/零售業(yè)，排名第三是醫(yī)藥/生物工程。
