　　A: We have noted the relevant report about the so-called suspension of the high-speed railwayprogram linking Jakarta and Bandung. It is not true. Relevant leading official of the China RailwayCorporation has already made clarification on that. We have recently held the groundbreakingceremony for the high-speed railway program. Governments and companies of China andIndonesia all attach great importance to the program, and are cooperating closely to pressvigorously ahead with all related work. The Chinese side will make concerted efforts with theIndonesian side to ensure the smooth implementation of the program in a bid to deliver benefits tothe Indonesians at an early date. We will avail ourselves of this opportunity to improve practicalcooperation and produce more win-win results.

　　A: According to what we have learnt from relevant departments, the People's Procuratorate ofDandong has brought a lawsuit against Canadian citizen Kevin Garratt in the Intermediate People'sCourt of Dandong on charges of spying and stealing state secrets. The case is being tried. It islearnt that during the investigation, Chinese authorities also found evidence which implicatedGarratt in accepting tasks from Canadian espionage agencies to gather intelligence in China. China'sjudicial authorities will handle the case strictly according to law and Kevin Garratt's legal rights andinterests will be fully guaranteed.

　　A: The IMF has established procedure and rules for the selection of the Managing Director. TheChinese side supports the IMF in conducting selection in accordance with that. The 2010 packageof reforms on quotas and governance in the IMF proposed that executives of the IMF and otherinternational financial institutions shall be selected in an open and transparent manner regardless ofnationalities. It is believed that the selection of IMF Managing Director will follow this direction.

During his stay, President Xi Jinping and State Councilor Yang Jiechi met withhim respectively, and Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with him. The two sides had positive,candid and constructive communication on China-US relations and other major issues of mutualinterest, reaching consensus on some important issues.

　　The two sides also had thorough, in-depth and helpful discussions on the issue of the KoreanPeninsula, with the mutual understanding increased and important consensus reached. Both sidesagree to press firmly ahead with denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula and safeguard peaceand stability of the Peninsula. Both believe that the UN Security Council should adopt a newresolution on DPRK's nuclear test and take further actions. The two sides will have comprehensiveconsultation with all the other parties on the content of the resolution through permanent missionsto the UN. It is also agreed that sanctions are not an end in themselves, and the key is to restartdialogue and negotiation so as to bring the Korean nuclear issue back to the correct track ofdialogues and consultations.
